Mental Health Support for Children, Teens &  Their Caregivers

As a parent, you may be concerned about your child’s emotional wellbeing. You may notice they seem anxious, withdrawn, or easily overwhelmed. Maybe they have experienced something traumatic, are struggling to adjust to big changes or experiencing low mood. You want to help, but it’s not always easy to know how.

I am a Registered Clinical Social Worker and Certified Play Therapist- Supervisor specializing in therapy for children, teens,  and their parents in South Surrey, BC,  helping you navigate the challenges and transitions that come with raising kids. Whether you’re seeking therapy for your child, parent consultation, or support for your own emotional wellness, I offer a compassionate, individualized approach to help you and your family thrive. I integrate developmentally sensitive approaches including Play Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and EMDR to help them make sense of their experiences in ways that feel safe, regain trust in themselves and others, build healthy coping skills and strengthen resilience. Your child’s story matters. Your family’s well-being matters. With the right support, your child can begin to feel more grounded, connected, and at ease in their world. Everyone has the capacity to heal and grow — and seeking support is a meaningful step toward helping your family find balance again.

Individual Therapy for Parents & Adults

You spend so much of your time and energy caring for others — your kids, your partner, your family. You may be doing everything you “should,” yet inside you feel stretched thin, anxious, or disconnected from who you are. When you take care of your own emotional well-being, your whole family can benefit. I support adults with trauma-informed, somatic approaches like EMDR and Internal Family Systems Therapy to process and integrate difficult experiences, help you feel at home with yourself and move toward greater peace and emotional well-being.

I work collaboratively and offer a safe space where you can process experiences at your own pace, and restore a sense of wellbeing. Therapy appointments are available in person at my office and online for adults across British Columbia.

Therapy for Children & Teens

Kids often communicate through behaviours- sometimes before they have the words to express what they are experiencing. Therapy for children and youth can help with:

  • Anxiety & excessive worry

  • Emotional outbursts

  • Social challenges and friendship skills

  • School stress, perfectionism or avoidance

  • Feelings of sadness or low self-esteem

  • Adjustment to family changes or transitions.

In my work with children and teens, I use developmentally appropriate approaches to support emotion regulation, resilience and work towards gaining back their optimal functioning.

Parent Consultation & Psychotherapy for Adults

Parent Consultation Services

You are your child’s champion. Parents can request a consultation session to determine the best course of support for themselves or their child. Sometimes parent-only appointments are an effective way for parents to support growth in their child and relationship. My role is to consult with you on a range of social- emotional and behavioural strategies that can be useful in the home or school setting. We often focus on:

  • Understanding the emotional needs underneath perplexing behaviours

  • Strengthening your relationship as a family or parent/child dyad

  • Increasing your confidence in responding (not reacting) during stressful moments

Individual Adult Counselling

Adults seek individual therapy for various reasons. You may be:

  • Managing anxiety, stress or burnout

  • Struggling with self-criticism or shame

  • Processing past experiences or trauma

  • Navigating life with grief and loss

Together, we will slow down, explore your experiences with care, develop self-compassion and transform emotional burdens that keep you stuck.
